Other Books
The Heoric Heart
In The Heroic Heart, Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, illuminates the heart of Mahayana Buddhism—bodhichitta—describing it as “the selfless expression of boundless compassion.” Here, she reveals how to become such a compassionate hero, the bodhisattva in training, and helps us to face the uncertain tides of the world, however joyful or dangerous, with a deep wish to find meaning and uncover the ultimate heart of wisdom and compassion.
Reflections on a Mountain Lake
This sparkling collection of Dharma teachings by Tenzin Palmo addresses issues of common concern to Buddhist practitioners from all traditions.
Personable, witty, and insightful, Tenzin Palmo presents an inspiring and no-nonsense view of Buddhist practice.
Cave in the Snow
First published in 1998 and reprinted many times since, Jetsunma’s biography Cave in the Snow has become a modern Dharma classic.
It traces Diane Perry / Tenzin Palmo’s journey from her youth in London to her life as a Tibetan Buddhist nun and her 12 years in solitary retreat in a cave in the Himalayas.
It also includes the early planning and founding of Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery.
The point of all our practice is not to come up with the answer to a question, like a quiz. The point is to experience the answer.
